Our client is looking to add a Sr. Manager Email Marketing to their Marketing organization that serves 7 different brands and is rooted in analytics, experimentation, and the test-and-learn approach. Our organization includes strategists, digital marketers, media buyers, analysts and data scientists, market researchers. This is the rare opportunity to come in at the ground level and help shape how a sizable company does performance marketing.

 

In this role, you will oversee Email marketing for multiple brands, including B2C and B2B channels, with direct impact on the P&L. You will manage a team of channel managers and email producers across several locations to achieve your goals.

 

You will spend your time:
  • Developing, implementing and continuously evolving best practices for email marketing across B2C and B2B channels
  • Working with stakeholders across the marketing organization to develop processes to ensure that email marketing is executed in support of brand strategy and in accordance with best practice
  • Identifying and implementing best practices for ROI measurement
  • Helping to set appropriate KPIs for email marketing channel and ensuring that targets are met or exceeded for all brands
  • Building and implementing email marketing innovation and test-and-learn roadmaps
  • Designing and overseeing execution of testing frameworks to support email marketing performance optimization
  • Partnering with analysts and data scientists to dive deep into performance data and build new models to support optimization and growth efforts
  • Utilizing and providing training on Responsys, Silverpop and other email marketing tools
  • Identifying and selecting email marketing and personalization tools that satisfy business needs and working with IT to implement integrations
  • Building and managing a best-in-class Email marketing team
  • Contributing thought leadership to drive overall Performance Marketing and brand growth efforts, including making omnichannel strategy and marketing technology recommendations
  • Helping to define cross-brand CRM strategy and drive implementation
  • Staying informed about industry developments and quickly incorporating new best practices
  • Working in a collaborative team environment to consistently exceed expectations

 

The ideal candidate will be ready to jump in and start producing results from day one.

 

We are looking for you if you have:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in an analytical field, Master’ s degree preferred
  • At least 5-10 years of hands-on Email/CRM marketing experience in a cutting-edge environment, either at a top performing digital agency or in a large e-commerce business
  • Significant experience developing scheduled and triggered email campaigns, performing audience segmentation, analyzing and managing performance, running complex tests
  • Ability to manage multiple brands and stakeholders
  • Proven record (at least 2 years of experience) of hiring and building high-performing teams
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Strong knowledge of Responsys, Silverpop and other Email marketing tools
  • Experience working with IT to integrate ESPs and set up effective data flows to enable customer segmentation and email personalization
  • Strong grasp of methodologies to tie revenue back to email marketing campaign efforts
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical mindset, strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization

 

Strong candidates will also have:
  • Experience utilizing Google Analytics 360 to build custom reporting and track results
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B email marketing
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and SQL
  • Familiarity with multi-touch attribution
  • Experience with multiple CRM and marketing automation/personalization platforms
