Sr. Project Manager – Network Integrations

Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Manager with experience managing enterprise infrastructure & network integrations around Cisco Networking, vendor management, and project delivery for network integrations.  This candidate should have an understanding of Cisco Networking products, overseeing and coordinating with vendors and teams within a company to manage end-to-end network migration and/or integration projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is tasked with directing and monitoring the requirements and progress of short-term IT projects involving a limited number of personnel
  • Experience managing multiple/simultaneous IT projects
  • Experience managing mergers & acquisitions integration/migration projects
  • Depth of high level of infrastructure network engineering
  • Experience with network design and deployment in large enterprise environments
  • Identify technology gaps
  • Experience work collaboratively with network engineers, system software analysts/developers, and administrators
  • Strong knowledge of working with Windows/Linux/Unix servers, firewalls, routers, switches, SANs, network connected printers, etc.
  • Must have strong analytical, time-management, problem-solving and decision making abilities
  • Proven ability to produce work with limited supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast moving environment with tolerance of ambiguity
  • Coordinate a multi-skilled project team
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Strong written, oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Coordinate multiple/simultaneous projects from beginning to end
  • Clearly, concisely and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Communicate and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Track project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date status reports
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Communicate/disseminate project success criteria to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Flexible and adaptive conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

 Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or relevant experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in an IT project management role
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • ITIL Foundations certification is a plus
  • Excellent computer proficiency using Microsoft Project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide Infrastructure, LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, Voice rollouts
  • Experience managing mergers & acquisitions integration/migration projects
  • Experience working with Cisco product and solutions
