Responsibilities:
  • Influence and create new designs, software, architecture, and methods for deploying large-scale distributed systems
  • Take part in a 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Be a contributing member of the teams that define the technical approach, system and software architecture, and API design of the company’ s next generation in car and wearable law enforcement video devices and the software that supports them.
  • Learn and deeply understand the range of our internal platforms.
  • Create a technical approach and a design for new features that span the organization.
  • Explore and define gaps between current platform capabilities, and those needed for new features.
  • Drive new capabilities and requirements in our platforms to support new product features.
  • Work with various engineers and architects within the platforms and products teams to improve our adoption of industry best practices for cloud, on premise, and IoT security.
  • Communicate effectively to others within the organization.
  • Help define the pipeline and tools necessary to support Full Continuous Delivery
  • Willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Implements the appropriate level of engineering process, rigor, and cross functional review.
  • Starts and finishes tasks with minimal management oversight.
  • Maintains a positive attitude throughout typical work-related challenges.
  • Interfaces well with individuals outside of engineering.
  • A balance between passion and objectivity.

 

Qualifications:
  • Experience using an active CD Pipeline to push to production at least once daily
  • Experience designing and implementing a User Interface and experience with multiple frameworks.
  • Experience developing with Windows OS including but not limited to:
    • Visual Studio 2017
    • Visual Studio Team Services
    • Microsoft Azure

 
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools and platforms
  • Exceptionally forward thinking and innovative - stay on top of the latest trends, technologies, etc.
  • Experience working in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment
  • Strong hands on experience with PowerShell (Modules, DSC, etc.)
  • Exceptional public cloud experience with Azure (GOV, Classic vs RM services, etc.)
  • Strong experience with microservices and containers is a plus
  • Extensive experience in .NET using C#
  • Experienced developing web api services
  • Experienced with Entity Framework, Dapper
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • NServiceBus or Service Fabric experience a plus
  • Bachelor’ s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of development and/or system administration experience
  • 3+ years Cloud and/or DevOps experience
