Sr. Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all related networking systems for Western’ s international infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls, Internet services, DMZ, WAN optimization, VPN, VoIP, Video Conferencing, storage network, etc. The individual will be responsible for supporting critical production systems, implementing new technologies, project management, and support financial business applications. The individual must have strong technical background, communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving, and systems troubleshooting skills. Must be able to work under tight deadlines, ability to multitask and handle concurrent projects. Responsibilities
• Work on planning, designing, upgrading, implementing, optimizing and supporting the LAN and WAN network infrastructure
• Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools; including fine-tuning, health reporting and alerting
• Perform project management, change management, procedure documentation, participate in designs and implementing new technologies
• Collaborate with other business groups to support projects, solution architecture, coordination and evaluation
• Supports all critical environments including Production, QA, Development, DR sites, and 3rd party inter-connectivity
• Ensure network service high-availability and participate in 24x7 on-call schedule rotation and potential weekend work

• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting LAN/WAN in an enterprise environment
• Advanced experience with various Cisco router platforms (ASR 1001/7200/3900/2900)
• Advanced experience with Cisco 6500, Nexus 7000/5000/2000 and other enterprise catalyst switches
• Advanced engineering experience with routing protocols; OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and tuning
• Advanced engineering experience with layer 2 technologies; Spanning-tree, VTP, VPC, Port Channels, HSRP, GLBP, WCCP and SPAN
• Experience with WAN connectivity such as T1/T3, E1, DS3, OCx, MAN, Frame-relay, MPLS and VPLS
• Experience with Check Point and Cisco ASA firewall platforms
• Experience with fiber channel technology and switch administration
• Experience with F5 load-balancing solution
• Experience with public DNS, SSLVPN, IPSec VPN, and security configuration
• Experience with WAN optimization and application acceleration technologies
• Experience with SNMP/v3 monitoring, TACACS+, RADIUS, Dot1x and AAA network device management
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem isolation and resolution skills
• Must have very good interpersonal communication skills, presentation, documentation and organized project management approach
• Experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Visio and Project

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with LAN/WAN Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic engineering
• Experience with VoIP and video conferencing technologies
• Experience with LAN/WAN Multicast technology engineering and support
• Experience with enterprise network probes, taps and packet sniffers
• Experience with Juniper VPN, RSA SecurID, and Websense
• Experience with wireless services
• Experience with log analysis solutions

• Undergraduate degree in related field. Experience may offset academic requirements.
• Current Cisco CCNP certification is required, CCIE is highly desirable
