Developer Community Manager

This position is based in Annapolis, MD and reports to the VP, Field Engineering.

  • Prioritize, design, and guide the implementation and execution of projects aimed at creating the best possible experience for our developers, from going deep on developer support to re-envisioning how developers get up and running on our platform
  • Create and nurture relationships with developers building on the platform
  • Grow community engagement with the product through various approaches, which could include speaking, attending/organizing events, participate in social media or online forum technical conversations, hackathons, contests, awards, etc.
  • Manage developer-facing communications
  • Foster connections between community members and encourage them to support and mentor one another
  • Identify, track, and report key community activity, impact, and health metrics. Use data to identify community trends and issues, and to recommend tactics to increase engagement

  • Strong analysis and communication skills; resourceful in assisting in issue resolution
  • Passion for helping peers and others developers be successful
  • 5+ years of experience as a developer/software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience with software security
  • Expertise with a variety of programming and scripting languages (Go, Java, C++, and JavaScript are pluses)
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and innovative environment
  • Quick learner and creative problem solver who can work independently with little supervision and as part of a team
  • Proven experience working remotely and staying productive across time zones
  • BA or higher in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
