You’re more than an advocate for the user? you have a vision for what truly great experience can be. As Senior UX Designer, you’ll take what users and experts want, need, and expect from the products we create, and push those expectations into the realm of artistry for web based, mobile and social products. You are innovative, quick-thinking, and know what’s happening in the mobile space, where it’s going, and how to take your client’s project to the next level. Your interaction design skills are second to none, and you have a knack for making complex information clear for clients, project managers, design, engineering, and quality assurance analysts alike.
What you'll do:
Interact extensively with product owners, business sponsors and industry experts and serve as the voice of the user while accommodating customer needs and technical requirements from engineering.
Work closely with business sponsors, product owners, project development managers, architecture, design, engineering, and quality assurance.
Bring user-centered design thinking (UCD) techniques to web applications, from concept to launch.
Use strong interaction design and usability skills to make the complex clear.
A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience.
A minimum of three years of experience creating highly detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within complex web applications.
In-depth knowledge in web development, with familiarity of multi platforms development techniques Familiarity with user interface patterns for mobile and web.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Strong communication skills (presentation) and the ability to facilitate workshops to gather journey maps and experience details.
Experienced using tools such as OmniGraffle or Photoshop for wireframing and InDesign or Keynote for presenting your ideas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with design patterns, developer/engineer tools and SDKs.
Understanding of platform-specific terms (eg. segmented controller, picker, table view).
The ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work.
Experience developing rapid prototypes.
Experience with project estimation.
Knowledge of the agile development process.
Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests including familiarity with tools such as Silverback and Morae.
Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed.
The ability to interact with architects/developers/engineers.
Willingness to mentor junior staff.
