Job Description:
An Engineer of Messaging and Directory Services provides support to customers across the enterprise for a variety of issues. In addition to support, the Engineer participates in projects that drive business value and increase efficiencies, while ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of existing systems and services. An Engineer of Messaging and Directory Services also provides technical and product guidance and advice to customers and management.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage, enhance and support multi-tenant messaging infrastructure including Exchange Online, On-Prem and Skype for Business.
Manage, enhance and support multi-forest AD environment with multiple domains.
Resolve operational issues through support tickets and alerts from various system monitoring tools.
Ensures all issues regarding system or service automated alerts are logged, tracked, and resolved; manage alerts and events through and enterprise trouble ticketing tool 
Effectively manages multiple projects involving installations of infrastructure software and hardware while meeting business objectives and deadlines
Follow the change management process to production systems with regards to physical or system configuration updates
Makes process and systems improvement recommendations to assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experiences
Effectively communicates to business partners, customer s/end users, engineering peers, and IT leadership; possesses the ability to deliver presentations to each audience
Remains updated of changes in the industry utilizing resources (e.g., technical training, technical magazines, white papers, books, etc.) to gain additional knowledge related to IT systems

Education:

B.S. Degree in computer science or related field is preferred; or 7+ years industry experience

Required Experience:

2-3 years of Exchange & Active Directory experience in large, complex environments.
1-2 years of experience administering Skype for Business. 
3-5 years of end-user support in a fast-paced environment.
5+ years of experience on technology infrastructure teams
1-2 years in supporting cloud-based systems
Required Competencies/Skills: Strong problem solving, decision making, planning/ organizing and communication skills required. 
Ability to manage pressure while maintaining attention to detail. 
Candidates must also have functional and technical expertise, adaptability and flexibility, be customer focused, and work well in teams.
