Project Manager


The project manager will use best practice PMO skills to drive the delivery of a pilot of tools and software that will support company departments. Primary deliverables include the implementation of a new company software. The project manager will collaborate with internal teams, as well as vendors, to coordinate and deliver pilot project. The role is responsible for the overall timeline, budget tracking, and day to day activities of managing the project, working across business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery.

Education/ Experience 
  • Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline
  • 8+ years’ experience managing projects, global in nature

Skills and Competencies
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals 
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics 
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications, including MS PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Highly organized with good time management skills
  • Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately track budget and forecast information

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimating models, identify resources and skills required, document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them
  • Recommend best solutions based on understanding of business issues
  • Provide task-based schedule and cost forecasts and assist in assessing risk-based provisions 
  • Work with vendor to implement enhancements, issue fixes, and new features, in accordance to product requirements
  • Work with regional and brand stakeholders to manage creation of content and business process for successful implementation
  • Capture and track program metrics and perform analysis
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them 
  • Clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required
  • Manage vendor point of contact, tracking and driving deliverable dates
  • Measure project health and success, tracking and providing regular updates on key deliverables
  • Provide status updates and maintain proper cadence for project delivery
  • Prepare regular steering committee presentations and documentation
  • Manage and maintain project governance
