Job Summary: 

The Project Manager (PM) – PMO is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, organizing and leading all aspects of IT projects.   The PM provides cross-functional and cross-organizational end-to-end lifecycle support driving business solutions for the Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage small to large scale, complex, multi-phased projects
  • Manage projects that are strategic
  • Manage all project activities required for successful project implementation  including project planning, schedule management, issue and risk management, financial management and change management
  • Engage in early idea definition phases to determine viability
  • Produce a project business case (based on project requirements)  for executive review and approval  to determine continued funding
  • Work with cross functional Team Members to develop detailed project schedule including milestones, deliverables and dependencies based on business objectives, budget, scope, timeline, and risks
  • Plan both internal and vendor project resources for each project
  • Coordinate and facilitate project activities as required
  • Facilitate weekly project team meetings to assess project progress and resolve issues; prepare and distribute meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action items and project status reports
  • Manage the work of others to execute project tasks
  • Manage risks as appropriate
  • Track and update schedule progress, risks and issues, cost plan including invoices, project status and forecast project costs and completion dates
  • Report various project statuses to team members, stakeholders, business champion, project sponsor, and executives
  • Maintain projects and project files in SharePoint and the approved PPM to ensure project continuity and historic documentation
  • Regularly review and measure project progress against the plan; report, track and escalate project problems and issues that impact cost, scope or schedule
  • Assist in driving the development and adoption of project management methodology 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing projects in an SDLC and/or operational environment
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading full lifecycle projects using PMBOK-based methodology and/or Agile methodologies
  • Minimum of 2 years experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tool

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with project sponsors, team resources and stakeholders ‘
  • Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues
  • Demonstrated skills in estimating, scheduling, forecasting & budgeting
  • Demonstrated skills in risk management
  • Demonstrated skills in driving methodology adoption
  • Bachelor’ s degree
