Job Description:

You will be joining us as a member of our senior technical staff in the role of Lead Software Architect on the BPM technology platform team. Your focus will be to plan and lead the delivery of exciting technology solutions and growing our internal staff in PEGA 7 PRPC technology. You will be leading development efforts, interacting with business partners, and partnering / influencing technical leads in other parts of the organization to deliver complex, integrated solutions.

Responsibilities:

A committed leader who works towards the success of the team who will help guide the ownership of the PEGA BPM systems platform, taking full accountability for the delivery of world class solutions.

•    Lead, educate and grow our in-house BPM team and senior leadership on Pega technologies and best practices
•    Work closely with our system integration partners to deliver high quality software solutions 
•    Leverage Agile development methodologies to deliver solutions
•    Partner directly with our business partners to understand the long range goals and vision for the platform while supporting the delivery of the multiple inflight work streams
•    Provide Pega fit guidance on new project opportunities across the enterprise
•    Partner with the enterprise architecture group and help develop the long term roadmap for the PEGA platform
•    Provide design reviews and ad hoc feedback for user stories throughout the implementation process
•    Define development standards, working agreements and design recommendations across multiple work streams by working directly with the team members
•    Participate in the full delivery life-cycle for BPM development and systems integrations from ideation through production support
•    Actively participate in our scheduled CoE meetings and provide guidance to the overall platform
•    Maintain and develop expert knowledge of industry best practices and maintain certifications on the latest versions of Pega
•    Help identify and help in the mitigation of risks to our in flight BPM projects

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
•    Pega Certified Senior Systems Architect (CSSA) or higher certification level preferred
•    Pega Certified on version 7 of the product
•    3 or more years of software development experience in Pega, Java, Ruby, or equivalent experience in Object Oriented languages
•    6 or more years of hands-on experience in using PEGA PRPC frameworks for reuse, using Connectors & Services for integration, PRPC tools (PAL, Tracer, Security Model, Access Groups, UI Portals, Log Analyzer)
•    Successful experience in delivering multiple Pega 7.x projects into production
•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills that can help lead and facilitate major and minor design decisions with our business partners and the rest of the development team members
•    Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
•    Experience working in a automated test based approach to software development and familiarity with a test driven development approach
•    Ability to successfully resolve stressful production issues
•    Experience with SOAP/REST web service integration
•    Experience with messaging integration using JMS
•    Experience using and deploying to Application Servers like tomcat, WebSphere, etc.
•    Basic Unix admin knowledge

Qualifications (Preferred):
•    PEGA mobile and/or mobile development experience preferred
•    JavaScript programing experience using jquery
•    Cascading Style Sheet development experience
•    AWS Development experience
•    Native mobile development using Java on Android and Objective C for the iOS Apple platform
