Network Engineer Manager  
Role Responsibilities 
- Primary accountable owner for the day-to-day operations for managing the Network and Security tower, and any related programs and/or initiatives. Leads from the front. 
- Interfaces with  Customer Senior leadership for issues, initiatives or monthly review sessions 
- Ensures contractual compliance and ensures Standard Operating Procedures are complete and kept current 
- Leads a staff of professional level team members or manages a team through lower-level supervisors 
- Defines roles and responsibilities for staff and contributes to standards around which others will operate. 
- Ensure training of staff and that everyone has appropriate skill level to support 
- Plans for future needs and operations relative to supported area 
- Manages related costs and methods 
- Assesses and implements innovative ways of doing things and reducing  customer cost 
- Leads and resolves technical issues with the team and the client in a complex 
Networking environment. 

- Must have good troubleshooting skills with telecom and networks (Cisco/Brocade) so that issues can be resolved and create root cause analysis reports and present them to the client.
- Must have excellent skills on designing and troubleshooting Cisco and Brocade Networks.
- Datacenter network management is must needed skill.
- Must have worked on Monitoring Tools like Solarwinds, PRTG and Netbrain -Must have very good hands on technologies like MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP.
- Must have good management and communication skills and can work with teams across towers so that issues can be resolved timely
- Must have worked with off-shore teams
- Must have worked in a service capacity, reporting in a cross-matrix environment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be available for after hour support calls 

Desirable Skills:
- Good Experience on Cisco devices 
- Good Experience on Brocade devices and or certification would be highly desired 
- Knowledge of BlueCoat Director and Reporter devices 
- Knowledge of Infoblox devices 
- Knowledge of Remedy and Service Now ticketing system -Knowledge of CheckPoint Firewalls 

Requirements 
- Must have excellent leadership, written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a cross functional environment 
- Must have excellent designing and troubleshooting skills with telecom and networks (Cisco and Brocade) 
- Must have worked on Monitoring / Discovery Tools - Solarwinds, PRTG and Netbrain. Expectation is the person will be able to configure, and troubleshoot should need arise. 
- Must have very good hands on technologies and routing protocols such as MPLS, OSPF, and EIGRP. 
- Must have worked with off-shore and leveraged teams 
- Must be available for after hour support calls and support an environment that is 24/7/265 
- Must have knowledge and be able to manage network vulnerabilities 
- Must have Data center and Network Security exposure 
- Must have Cisco and Checkpoint Firewall exposure and troubleshooting skills 

Preferences 
- Preferably someone who looks from the eye of a Network Architect 
- Cisco CCIE / CCNP and / or similar certifications 
- Good Experience on Brocade devices and or certification would be highly desired 
- Knowledge of BlueCoat Director and Reporter devices 
- Knowledge of Infoblox devices 
- Knowledge of Service Now ticketing system 
- Knowledge of CheckPoint Firewalls 
- Knowledge of Qualys, VMWare, Active Directory, SharePoint, SolarWinds 
- Knowledge of TCIP, WIFI, VPN, SNMP, FTP/SFTP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, VoIP, MPLS, 
SMTP. 
- Knowledge of Load Balancing, Wireless and Netscaler 
- Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL Processes 
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003, Win2K/Windows 8 & 10
