IDM Data Protection Lead:
Company is seeking individuals with experience leading teams in Information Protection to join our Security Operations team. If you have a background in data protection, integration processes and approaches, data classification and Access Management technology please apply for our Information Protection Manager position. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional direction and activities of the Information Protection team. Â You Â Â will be responsible for the development, implementation and successful operationalization of data protection strategy & projects. You will lead and coordinate your teamâs activities with other Security Operations, Enterprise Architecture and IT Risk teams. Works directly with Data Analysts, Program Managers and other cross-functional team members to prioritize work efforts and assign resources to reduce data access risk across the Enterprise. Lead and assist in defining business processes & controls around sensitive data and applications to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and other financial regulations. Will play a key role in communicating Information Protection program strategy, goals, and objectives, and provide status updates to company leaders outside of Security Operations.
This role works independently in response to general work direction. Â You may lead, instruct or coach other professionals. Determine threats, identify risks and vulnerabilities to the organization, and direct corrective actions. Collaborate within the Security Operations teams to coordinate the areas of Information Protection, Identity & Access Management and Security Engineering. Execute existing information security policy and provide guidance to IT security staff and other stakeholders. Monitor and coordinate compliance activity with information security policies. Demonstrate technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software. Applies advanced technical knowledge of Information Protection architecture, principles and standards. Performs work within company and regulatory guidelines.
*Â Bachelorâs Degree with 3-7 years of experience in Data Protection is required.
* Prior experience using the NIST Cybersecurity framework and associated âProtectâ controls is desired
* Prior experience with data access management in data lake and cloud environments is preferred.
* Strong technical and analytical skills required, including the ability to define data processes
* Ability to clearly & concisely communicate complex, technical information to non-technical audiences is required
* Proficiency in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.
Must possess the ability to communicate clearly via verbal and written communications to staff, stakeholders and senior management. Highly motivated to foster an environment that promotes collaboration to create excellent results. Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization and have frequent contact with other teams within the company. Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments. Ability to clearly communicate to an audience that may include less technically oriented listeners.
