Job Description, Required Skills, Education, Experience:
• Ability to gather Organizational Knowledge via face-to-face, WebEx, email and telephone to develop and summarize best practices for authoring and publishing.
• Understands content life-cycle principles.
• Understands and can further develop content strategy, including tools, processes, and strategies for authoring, translating and single sourcing and multi-channel publishing.
• Able to further develop and revise the DITA model
• Able to develop and revise the internal standards document, style guides, and graphic standards.
• Able to develop DITA specializations if required
• Understands delivery methods and processes including metadata.
• Able to further develop and revise publishing channel output structures and formats
• Able to plans and monitor projects, including identifying key resources
• Can identify opportunities for enhancements in content, automation, translation, or single sourcing using new tools, strategies, or processes as they emerge
• Able to further develop and maintain authoring templates
• Able to administer global authoring environment including permissions
• Administration of language translation projects.
• Proficient with the DITA architecture
• Knowledgeable of end users
• Understanding of business drivers and goals
• Understanding of requirement gathering and IT SDLC processes
• Ability to determine the best way to single source and leverage metadata
• Has knowledge of relevant tools (CCMS, XML editors, and publishing options)
• DTD/XSD expertise
• Understands Language Translation Processes, including the following concepts: Translation memories (TMs), TM Matching/leverage, XLIFF, Terminology management, Readability, Simplified Technical English (STE).
• Demonstrated ability with XSL, XSLT, CSS, HTML5, and XML Development
• Taxonomy development
• Ability to participate in multi-culture, cross-functional teams and projects.
• Ability to gather metrics and KPIs related to authoring and publishing processes

Tool Familiarity
SDL Trisoft, SDL Translation Management System (TMS), Language Cloud, Multi-term, Live Content Architect, Knowledge Center, XMetal, Oxygen, HyperSTE, Acrolinx, Arbortext, Antenna House, Adobe Acrobat, Creo Illustrate, Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud.
W3C and OASIS Standards Familiarity
Fluent in at least one other language besides English, with the following languages preferred: French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Finnish, Danish, Italian, Dutch,
Knowledgeable about Heavy Equipment, Agriculture, Automotive. Manufacturing
Typical Activities
• Training global Authors as needed via webex or on site with new users or on new process and tools.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for System upgrades and deployment of new tools.
• Development and management of scripts, transforms, templates, structures and process & internal standards documents.

• Global Administration of Global Language Translation work and process
• Occasional travel (world-wide) travel to participate in training and workshop events.
• Gathering comments and requirements from global users to facilitate system improvements
• Troubleshoot authoring and publishing process issues.
