POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY  
  • The Executive Architect, is our client' s preeminent customer-facing technical role, unique for its focus on the customer technical relationship as well as for possessing industry expertise. 
  • The Executive Architect has a unique responsibility to support the business by leveraging their broad understanding of industry business challenges, technologies, solutions and competition.
  • The Executive Architect partners with the sales team and leads the technical community in creating customer value propositions which drive our client' s  market share and profitability.
  • The Executive Architect will ensure linkage between customer requirements and our client' s ability to innovate and deliver new industry based solutions.
  • The Executive Architect serves a critical integration function between the customer and the broader sales and technical team.
  KEY SKILLS FOR THE EXECUTIVE ARCHITECT ROLE:   Financial Services Industry – Provide industry thought leadership to customers.  Provide technical perspective using industry frameworks / reference architectures to address specific industry challenges and priorities.  Participate in industry consortiums, publish papers and blogs.    Solution Design - Deep understanding of how business objectives/challenges translate into technical solutions using software, hardware and professional services resources of our client.  Provide architectural leadership with customers to build secure, scalable and robust solutions.  Manage multiple customer opportunities while driving to a single enterprise strategy.  Influence and develop technical value propositions, points of view, offerings and capabilities and integration into customers’ existing environments.       Strategic Initiatives - Skilled in strategic initiatives and able to identify and develop opportunities to gain a leadership position within the market while providing feedback and insight to research and development teams. Further the understanding of the strategic architectural intent throughout the company and provide thought leadership in the definition and articulation of the product and services offerings.   C-Suite Relationship – Ability to develop and sustain relationships and communicate in a style and manner compatible with C-level executives.  Become a trusted advisor to  customers.  Maintain technical account plans and on-going technical and business relationships with key customer stakeholders   Evangelize Technology – Facilitate, communicate, collaborate and persuade others in defining, adopting and implementing a coherent technical architecture.  Provide architectural leadership and mentoring to junior architects and technical resources.  Establish process and leverage use of existing architecture, frameworks and architecture-related tools.  Establish standards for skills certification and career growth.  Qualifications: Requirements:
  • 15+ years experience in an architectural leadership role
  • 10+ years in the financial services industry
  • Experience in retail banking delivery channel and payment technologies
  • Extraordinary breadth of skills across the information technology industry
  • Ability to communicate complex problems and solutions simply and effectively at both executive and technical levels
  • Ability to quickly understand and execute on new technologies and approaches
  • Experience with enterprise system integration approaches and tools
  • Understand competitive and partner landscape
  • Proficiency with Services Oriented Architecture, micro-services, API design and implementation patterns
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a computing related field of study
  • Experience using industry standard frameworks, such as DoDAF, FEAF, ToGAF, etc.
  • Excellent management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
